Glistening Point – By Me and D

Glistening Point

Glistening Point

The fire is crackeling

in the darkness of the night.

The fire is burning

till the onset of first light.

When I

gaze into a flame

I feel the primal hush

stir and stoke

behind black eyes.

The crush of dark

and death

sharpened to a glistening point.

 —

The fire brings its stories.

From old days and long nights.

The fire is smoldering.

Under a starry winters night.

When I

gaze into the flame

I feel the primal hush

stir and stoke

behind black eyes.

The crush of dark

and death

sharpened to a glistening point.

—

There is no way.

I can explain

the glistening

of an emerald flame.

There is no way.

I can explain

the glistening

 of an emerald flame.

Screaming Within

Screaming WIthin

Screaming Within

From the deepest depths of the self.

Comes a cry out of worry for my health.

A cry of irritation that’s been kept from the world.

A cry of illumination screaming what I stand for and want in this world.

Wind Brother

Wind Brother

Wind Brother

You creep up on me from far off lands.
To show me what is to come and what the world has planned.

When you talk to me you say the world is always changing
and you never know what amazing wonders you’ll be facing.

Sometimes you warn me of great hardships to come.
Many miles away from places where the sun has already gone.

You blow past with a never ending thirst for exploration.
Off to far off lands without any further explanation.

This is the life of the winds that blow.

Howling past like a brother you used to know.

Calling by The Nomadic Eagle

Calling...

Calling…

Calling

I sit here in the morning.
Listening to you calling
my name.

I sit here in the morning.
Listening to you calling
my name.

No other but you can call me…

I sit here in the morning
Listening to you calling
my name.

I sit here in the morning.
Listening to you calling
my name.

no other but you can call me…

And I
I am falling for you,
and  your calling.

And I
I am falling for you,
and your calling.

Just a little something I made up while playing on the guitar yesterday. Still thinking if I should record and publish it another day.

Companionship

Companionship

Companionship

This is what we call COMPANIONSHIP

Coming from nothing at the start.

Out of laughter and things you could never have thought.

Moments like that one amazing fart!

Pouring your hearts out to each other.

Aiming to help or advise one another.

No one else you would rather share the moment with.

In these moments you help each other find clarity.

Out it comes like an ancient myth.

Needing no more than your best friends words.

Seeing the other’s worth as a human being.

Handing each other the keys to life and living.

Interacting on a basis of truth and understanding.

Putting each other first as much as needing.

This is what we call COMPANIONSHIP.

Cranes Take Flight

Cranes

Cranes Take Flight

You know its truly winter.

When you come grace us with your fights.

Like angels you appear.

In the cold and snowy night.

You strut your stuff so confidently.

And show of  for all in sight.

You make it look so easy.

Like a professional in flight.

The dance of the cranes has no equal.

And so it will remain.

For the crane is the king off the dancing birds.

Forever it will reign.

Nature’s Sound

Nature's Call

Nature’s Call

Listen. Can you hear it?

The sounds of nature is on the wind.

Do you hear the crickets call?

Do you here the leaves that fall?

Listen. Can you here it?

The sounds of nature is all around.

Do you hear the soft steps of ants in the night?

Do you hear the dung beetles where they battle and fight?

Listen. Can you hear it?

The sounds of nature is calling out.

Do you hear the hyena’s laughter of delight?

Do you hear the thundering echo’s of lions that fight?

These are the sounds of nature.

Those sounds that could sometimes pluck a tear.

But inspiring those who listen to its calls.

For nature holds us captive in its great abounding halls.

Do see me?

Or do you see the world in all its natural glory?

 —

Meerkat standing there looking at the world.

What do you see?

Do see the worlds a changing?

Changing from its once natural beauty?

The  Meerkat is the watcher of nature.

No other can take its place.

Standing in the Kalahari’s prairies and dust.

Looking at a world that once was.

A world that is now just going to dust.

Volcano Erupts

For many years its lain dormant.

For many years until this exact moment.

Like a dragon coming out of its sleep.

Ready to make the world burn and weep.

The eruption is sudden and violent.

From far deep in the worlds womb where it once was silent.

Nothing in its close proximity will survive.

Nothing will remain the same for that is a fact of life.

It brings change to that which once was stagnant.

Promising new life to the land covering it in a lava blanket.

A blanket from which will sprout all kinds of life.

A blessing in disguise from mother natures book of life.

Bones

Bones

Bones

Our bones gives our bodies structure during day and night.

Keep them safe for they will keep you upright.

The bones of the world is a more complex creature.

A creature made from small things and all things. So tells the teacher.

Our lives are made up from skeletons of life.

Bones we can’t see that keeps our souls alight.

The bones of the world we can’t comprehend.

Bringing more bones to the pile that we have to make blend.

Our growth as a person is our own struggle that we fight.

Bones are broken and healed to be just right.

The Bones of life is an amazing and vast gift.

A gift that you can either take or let it pass you by like the wind.

The Beauty Of An X-Ray

The One

The One

The One

There’s always that One that got away.

That single One that swam too fast and far away.

Yes, you know the One I’m talking about.

That One that made life challenging without a doubt.

That One that was like no other.

That One that haunts those quick flowing waters.

That One that got away is quite an irritating anomaly.

Making that One that got away quite a big calamity.

That One though will always be of significance in life.

For that One will always remind you what to strive for in life.

Thus I come to the conclusion in matters regarding that One that got away.

Tomorrow we have yet another chance to try and catch the One that got away.

The Girl In The Subway

The Girl in the Subway Door...

The Girl in the Subway Door…

Looking at a girl through a subway door…
Wondering what her life holds in store…

So many places she could be going…
So many things I can’t even dream of knowing…

A life predetermined by a set schedule…
A life without life walking after a timetable…

This is the life of the girl in the subway door…
A life full of unknowns like dust on the subway floor…

A Poem On The Underground Wall – Simon And Garfunkel

A Poem On A Subway Wall

A Poem On A Subway Wall

The last train is nearly due,
The underground is closing soon,
And in the dark deserted station,
Restless in anticipation,
A man waits in the shadows.

His restless eyes leap and scratch,
At all that they can touch or catch,
And hidden deep within his pocket,
Safe within it’s silent socket,
He holds a colored crayon.

Now from the tunnel’s stony womb,
The carriage rides to meet the groom,
And opens wide and welcome doors,
But he hesitates, then withdraws
Deeper in the shadows.

And the train is gone suddenly
On wheels clicking silently
Like a gently tapping litany,
And he holds his crayon rosary
Tighter in his hand.

Now from his pocket quick he flashes,
The crayon on the wall he slashes,
Deep upon the advertising,
A single worded poem comprised
Of four letters.

And his heart is laughing, screaming, pounding
The poem across the tracks rebounding
Shadowed by the exit light
His legs take their ascending flight
To seek the breast of darkness and be suckled by the night.

Natures Healing Powers!

Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.”

The Art Of Teaching

I have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist and that there are as few as there are any other great artists. Teaching might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit.
