The Eagle soars on high.
Looking down to the land from the sky.
Almost floating like a feather
on the winds that carries it nether.
Always keeping a watchful eye
from there way… way up high.
Leaving no land unread.
In it’s eternal scavenge till it’s time for bed.
Even the Eagle has to rest.
Even if flying is what he does best.
He has to come down to the nest.
To recharge his buzzards head.
It’s at such times that he tries to understand himself.
Coming back from the distant lands where he found himself.
These times he uses to contemplate.
For tomorrow may bring a strange new fate.
He wakes early in the morn.
Flying of into the new dawn.
Feeling the morning sun on his wings.
Knowing what today just might bring.
Suddenly he spots something on the ground.
Close to a big towering termite mound.
He ducks his head down.
Looking more focused on what he have found.
The air rushes past his wings.
Feeling the rush that only the chase can bring.
Suddenly the hare bounds of in a fright.
Trying to get out of the light.
But the Eagle has its ways.
Learned through all its life long days.
Tucking in his wings to get extra pace.
To quicken the hares deadly fate.
This is the life the Eagle leads.
Finding daily exactly what He needs.
Scavenging everywhere for new things.
Either on the ground or on the wing.
